A central product database ensures product descriptions are accurate and photography is current while still allowing store owners to set their own prices, product availiblity, special offers, promotional banners, opening hours, delivery radius and various other options. Ordering is restricted by a combination of customer postcodes and store opening hours.
The CMS needed to be very simple to work with as staff members would be updating the system in-store, which is often a very busy working environment. An order management system alerts staff to new orders and allows them to update the progress and print delivery slips for dispatch drivers.
